Info
Jane Blease Design is a small independent shop and doesn't keep large levels of stock. Most products are made to order. We have tried to give as much information as possible about availability, lead times and delivery costs of products with each product listing. Please note that lead times vary depending on the complexity of the product ordered.
We have attempted to accurately show the colour of the products in our images but we cannot guarantee that your monitors display will accurately reflect this. As products are handmade, please expect slight variations. Products made from wood will vary in shade and grain.
Care Advice
Wood Veneer Shades - Wood is a 'living' material, it will respond to different environments. Humidity and Sunlight can affect the colour of the wood veneer, so it is advised that you position your lampshade away from windows to provent discolouration.
For indoor use only - Not suitable for areas of the home with excess heat or moisture i.e. bathrooms/kitchens. Do not place your lampshade by an open flame. Do not apply liquids to the wood veneer. Dust carefully. The wood is untreated so avoid touching as grease from hands could transfer onto the wood. Be gentle as the wood veneer has delicate edges. Every effort has been made to remove sharp edges but be careful when handling to prevent splinters. 'Save the planet', use energy saving bulbs. Suggested bulbs, 7W-9W for 8", 9W-11W for 12", 11W-12W for 14" and 11W-15W for 18". All shades are supplied with reducers so can be used with UK (28mm) or European (42mm) fittings
Acrylic and Imitation Tortoiseshell Shades - Remove Shade from electrical fittings. Use a damp cloth to dust. Make sure the product is dry before re-attaching to lampholder. 'Save the planet', use energy saving bulbs. Suggested 7W-9W.
