Vintage imitation tortoiseshell, one of the earliest plastics made, saved and transformed into stunning lights.
The tortoiseshell (TTS) material is made from cellulose acetate. Cellulose being one of nature's renewable materials, made of wood, plants, trees and grass. The sheets were produced in the 60's and 70's, specifically for making glasses frames, made famous by screen starlets Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren. The wall light comes complete with cable and UK 3-pin plug already fitted.
Re-claimed, re-formed and lovingly restored.
